Hot off the Grill: New Gourmet Burgers
Create great gourmet burgers with these new burger recipes featuring beef, turkey, portobello mushroom, pork, tuna and salmon. Find something to please everyone’s palate.
Ideas for great burgers
- Slice 2 large Vidalia onions into several 1/2-inch thick slices. Baste one side liberally with TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce and grill, sauce side down, on a lightly oiled rack for 3 minutes. Baste, flip, and grill until slightly softened, about 3 more minutes. Serve hot off the grill on hamburgers or atop hotdogs.
- Combine 1/2 cup pineapple preserves with 2 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce. Use to baste pork, chicken, or turkey burgers during the last four minutes of cooking for a sweet and spicy tropical glaze.
- Melt 4 tablespoons butter with 1 tablespoon Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce in a small bowl in the microwave. Brush melted butter on 6 hamburger or hotdog rolls and place face down on the grill until toasted, about 2 minutes.
- Combine 1/2 cup of refried beans with 1 tablespoon TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce. Use as a topping or mix with 1 pound ground turkey for Southwestern Chipotle Bean burgers.
- Mix 1 cup shredded cabbage with 1 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Use as a more flavorful topping than plain shredded lettuce.
- Mix 1/2 cup sour cream with 1 teaspoon Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce and salt and pepper. Use in place of mayonnaise.
- Toss 1 tablespoon TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce with 1/2 cup shredded cheese and use to melt on burgers.
- Combine 1/4 cup mango chutney with 1 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce. Use a fork to mash up large pieces and use as a topping for all kinds of summer burgers and sandwiches.
