Aaron Neville: and also my son Ivan wrote a song called "I'm singing You a prayer" and

Aaron Neville: Well for one thing, I came to the conclusion that I had a choice to make.
Aaron Neville: Whether or not I wanted to sing or screw up my life.
Aaron Neville: I decided I wanted to sing and there is not room for both...

Aaron Neville: both, because both have something from the other.
Aaron Neville: I guess R&B started as blues, and blues is definitely a form of Gospel.

Aaron Neville: I think you have to find your higher power and ask them to deal with it for you cause you definitely need help because one side of you.
Aaron Neville: definitely wants to quit but also the other side really don't give a shit. So you gotta figure which one is the best for you

Aaron Neville: the Dew Drop Inn was a place I got the chance to see people like Ray Charles,

Aaron Neville: anybody came to New Orleans played at the dew Drop and stayed there too because it was a hotel,
Aaron Neville: they also served good food.
Aaron Neville: Doctor John used to play there.
